remember the photobooth pictures i mentioned yesterday? please don't judge.

yesterday i mentioned that i went to my ZTA big sis' wedding in austin, tx this past weekend.  it was a beautiful, outdoor (albeit a little warm and humid) and the bride was stunning.  i also mentioned that as the party favor for the guests was a photobooth.  let's just say quasi and i went to the photobooth more than once.  i put them in order of when they were taken.  you can tell where this was headed as the night wore on.  please, no judging; only pointing and laughing:

pee ess - don't forget... today's the last day to enter my giveaway yo!!

my (fur) daughter has anger management issues. she may or may not get them from her mother.

with all the focus being on my mom, poor bailey's been neglected.  last night, quasi and i took her out to dinner with us on the patio of a restaurant.  because she was (surprisingly) so well-behaved, we decided to take her shopping to one of her favorite stores in the world - petsmart.  we let her peruse the stuffed animal and chew toy aisle, and she sank her little sharp teeth into her new favorite toy... meet mr. monkey:

please excuse her leash.  she has this thing with keeping it on.  i guess she likes to be prepared to leave at a moments notice.  anyways, here she is being all (unsuspectingly) sweet and nice with her new mr. monkey.  she was loving on him, cuddling with him, licking him, and even giving him sweet little kisses.  please notice her paw on mr. monkey's chest.  he is her man, and she doesn't like to share.

fast forward to 10 minutes later.  mr. monkey is now missing his nose.  bailey has apparently determined that  mr. monkey no longer has a need to use his olfactory senses.  i think she thinks she was doing him a favor.  plus, i'm sure she smells good enough for the two of them.

uh, oh.  not only does mr. monkey not need to smell, he apparently doesn't need his left arm either.  many of you may remember me discussing bailey's issues with men here - poor mr. mouse met such an early demise. seems like it was only fair for mr. monkey to follow suit.  i'm beginning to think that bailey is part black widow spider - female black widows kill their males after mating with them.  or maybe my baby girl just has an affinity for men full of stuffing.

update on my mom: thank you so very much for all of your words of comfort, thoughts, and prayers.  you all have been such a comfort to me.  my mom is doing slightly better than she was yesterday, which is a huge plus in my book.  her asthma and allergist doctors *think* she was reacting to the steroid treatments they had her on, so she's switching.  she's at home, but must be taken to see her asthma and allergist once a day and call in every couple of hours.  they also gave her two new medications: one for the angioedema (swelling) in her tongue and throat and one for her constant itching and hives.  i think she's taking 12 different meds at this point - all with the primary function to keep her breathing and keep her airways open!  they've got to constantly monitor her to make sure she doesn't have any further adverse reactions to all the medications.  we're taking things day by day right now, so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

i hope to be back later with a new edition of take me back tuesday (TMBT)!!

news you can use #17: teenagers, a hated man, women's one true love, craptastic engagement, and a bestie's birthday

(idiot) teen accuses accuses mom of facebook harassment.  teenagers can really be little shits sometimes, i swear.  apparently some 16 year old little twit from arkansas filed a harassment complaint at a local courthouse when his mom shut him out of his facebook account after she read he had driven 95 mph.  according to the mother, many of her son’s postings didn’t reflect well on him, so after he failed to log off the social networking site one day last month, she posted her own items on his account and changed his password to keep him from using it again.  "the things he was posting in facebook would make any decent parent’s eyes pop out and his jaw drop," the mother said said.  "he had been warned before about things he had been posting."  i'm pretty sure i'm going to give my kids to my mother when they hit their teenage years.  you think i'm joking.  just wait.

shake them haters off?  that phrase is typically told to people who don't really deserve negative press, but this doesn't really seem to apply in j.j.'s situation because he is being hated on for good reason.  jesse james is the most hated man in america.  i'm sure this comes as no surprise to any of you, but i still felt compelled to let my readers know.

my true love throughout history.  i think it's safe to say, ladies that we all lust after the same love: shoes.  namely, high heels.  men, you know this.  there's not many women who don't love shoes.  that being said, let me share with you my one true love throughout history.  these pics show me how far our love has come and just how long women have been wearing heels.  some of these bad boys are from the 15th century.

a craptastic engagement.  lindsay lohan's pop, michael lohan, is now engaged to kate major.  don't know kate major?  well, she's jon gosselin's ex-girlfriend.  not-so-surprisingly, lindsey is quoted as saying this engagement makes her want to vom.  quite frankly, i couldn't care less.

{what a perfect couple}

a very special birthday.  one of my real life best friends, sara, is celebrating her birthday this weekend!!  she's been a bestie since our college soccer days, and after dozens of roadtrips and shared hotel rooms later, she's still a bestest!  (gaahhh, that hotel comment sounded weird, but you get my point.)  as an athlete, i think the bonds created with friends and teammates is really unique and tight.  not only is sara one of my best friends, she was an amazing teammate and stood ready to kick anyone's ass who messed with me on the field.  that's the benefit of being a part of a team, you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us.

  happy birthday, sara ann!!  i love you!!

take me back tuesday: denim and bunnies and pinching boys trying to lift up my dress

 here i am on my preschool picture day, and clearly, i was ballllllin' in my denim and bunny print overall dress.  thanks to the date written on the back of the photo, i can say with certainty that this picture was take the month before my 5th birthday.  i'm pretty sure age 5 was the point at which my personality and attitude were permanently fixed.  let me explain: don't be fooled by my little smile, i had just pinched the little boy beside me in line for lifting up my dress and i received a time-out.  it was all worth it for me though, because i remember the little boy crying and telling me i was mean.  that taught the little effer not to lift up my bunny dress.  men start early, it seems.  and see those splotches on the photo??  it's spaghetti sauce.  i know this because the picture sits in my mother's kitchen, the glass in the photo was broken when someone carelessly dropped me, and she clearly doesn't love me enough to regularly windex my photos.
